Sweet & Sour Chicken (also great with pork, shrimp, or beef)

Crunchy chicken, savory sauce, serve over rice with veggies.



Gluten-free and mising Chinese food?


Ingredients Tempura Chicken:

2 lbs chicken breast

1 bag of No Gluten In It Tempura Mix

1-1/2 cups cold water

Oil for frying


Instructions Tempura Chicken:

  1. Cut chicken into bite-sized pieces.

  2. Mix cold water and Tempura Mix.

  3. Heat choice oil to 350°F.

  4. Dip your chicken into batter then put into oil to fry.

  5. Fry until golden brown (2-3 minutes). Do not overcrowd pan. 

  6. Drain on paper towels.

  7. Serve with sweet & sour sauce.


Ingredients Sweet & Sour Sauce:

6oz pineapple juice

1-10oz diced tomatoes w/ green chiles

1/2 cup white vinegar

3 Tbsp GF Soy Sauce

1/2 cup sugar

1/4 cup cool water

2 Tbsp corn starch


Instructions: Sweet & Sour Sauce:

  1. In a sauce pan on medium heat combine pineapple juice, tomatoes, vinegar, soy sauce and sugar.

  2. Bring to a boil, turn down heat and let simmer 20 minutes.

  3. In another bowl or cup combine water and corn starch. Pour into sauce pan and let cook another 2-3 minutes to thicken.
